Welcome to the AIM Growth Track Spiritual Growth Assessment! Part of being an active disciple of Jesus is growing in our faith. Our goal is grow to be more like Jesus every day. He showed us the way to live, and we should do our best to imitate that way of life. As the apostle Paul says, “Follow me as I follow Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1)
Doing an occasional self-assessment is like going to the doctor for a routine check-up, or taking the car in for some routine maintenance. To keep the body healthy and the car running, it’s important to do these check-ups even when we are not feeling sick or hearing the engine rattle. Routine check-ups keep the body strong and the engine running for many miles to come!
Although this is a self-assessment, we want to walk with you through the process. Answering the questions yourself will reveal a great deal to you about how you have been growing, where you are excelling, and maybe even reveal some blind spots or areas where you would like to start growing, but have not done so yet. After finishing and submitting your self-assessment, someone from our AIM Growth Track team will reach out to you to set up a meeting to go over your self-assessment and talk about next steps.
We encourage you to take this test more than once. This self-assessment is a great checkpoint to see how you are doing in your personal discipleship journey. It is exciting to see where you started and compare it to where you are and where you are going!
One last word of encouragement: 2 Corinthians 5:16 reminds us that we regard no one according to the flesh but rather according to the blood of Jesus that covers us and protects us. This self-assessment will be comprehensive and thorough, and it will be easy to view this assessment from a performance-driven lens. The reality is that none of us fully measures up to any standard considered in this self-assessment, but thanks be to God that Jesus met every standard for us! In light of this truth, we ask that you approach these questions with honesty, with hope that He is actively transforming us, and with freedom to share openly and completely.
We are praying for you and we are with you!

Self Assessment Instructions
Fill out all of the questions. Some will involve rating yourself, some will be fill-in-the-blank, and some will be short-answer/essay.
Be honest with yourself as you answer.
If you do not know an answer, do your best to write anything. Remember, this is not about being right or wrong; it’s about being honest with your spiritual growth so you can continue to grow well. Some questions (the Biblical knowledge section, for example) do have right and wrong answers. It’s okay to be incorrect in this case. This gives you a chance to see an area of growth in your life.
This assessment can take up to an hour. We suggest that you carve out a small block of time to do this assessment in one sitting. If you need to, click the link to download a PDF version of the self-assessment, fill it out and either send it via email to steven@highpointechurch.org or deliver it to the church office.

Please give your best definition to the following terms. Some are Biblical words and terms, others are doctrinal. Remember, this is an assessment so that you can grow in your faith. It is ok to not know any of these terms or answers! You will be amazed at how you grow in your faith if you continue to follow the AIM Growth Track.
Jesus also asked a lot of questions. The following are questions that Jesus asked. Read His question, and then give an answer to the question according to the context of His question. Read the Bible verses in context to answer these questions. Be sure to consider why Jesus asked this question. Lastly, how do these questions apply to your personal spiritual growth?
VIII. Personal Assessment Questions
On a scale of 1-5, one being never true and five being always true, rate yourself on the following questions.
X. Abilities and Experiences
For a follower of Christ, making God first should always be our top focus and priority. From this relationship, we receive the love we need for our second focus and priority, which is to love our neighbor (Matthew 22:27–40). After these first two priorities, what would be your top three God-sized dreams or goals that you could work toward? We have filled in numbers 1 and 2 for you. Please fill in numbers 3, 4, and 5.
#1 Focus/Priority in Life: My relationship with God (God should always be #1)
#2 Focus/Priority in Life: My relationship with others (spouse first, then children, then everyone else)
You have completed the spiritual self-assessment. This process may have been quite eye-opening for you. Remember, God is at work in you. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!” This transformation is a process, so be encouraged! God is changing you bit by bit. Be sure to take this assessment again at some point so you can see how that change is coming along! And remember, we are here for you and praying for you. The best way to grow spiritually as a disciple of Jesus is to not do it alone. Submitting your self assessment lets others in so you can grow like you never thought possible.
