We are excited that you are interested in participating in the High Pointe Youth Mission Trip to Guatemala in summer 2026!
This trip is for youth going into grades 9-12 in summer of 2026. If you are under age, but still interested in attending please do the following things:
1. Talk with Aandre, HP Youth Director
2. Know you will need to have a guardian attend the trip with you
A missions outreach is a great way to experience God through a new lense, as we see Him at work in another country and culture. Please take the time to review and fill out this application. Some questions may not feel applicable to you, this is ok. Please still fill them out to the best of your ability and know that everyone is going to have different answers to some of the personal questions. After filling out the application, our team will review your application and get back to you. In the mean time, we are praying for you and for your calling to an international mission outreach!
The following requirements and criteria must be met by indviduals before being selected for the team:
- Be a Christ follower
- Attendance at High Pointe for at least 6 months
- Regular participation in a Life Group and service area
- Have the support of your spouse/family memebers
- Have a valid US Passport
If selected for the team, you commit to meet the following expectations:
- Attend and participate in mission team meetings. All meetings are mandatory. The participant will be expected to adjust their personal schedule accordingly.
- Personal payment or fundraising to cover the cost of your trip
- Regular church attendance and participation in a Life Group
- Obtain all immunizations recommended by the CDC for this destination
- Travel with and stay with the team
- Cooperate fully with the team leader before and during the trip
- Adhere to all rules and regulations set by the host ministry: Students International (handbooks are available for review)
During the trip, you commit to:
- Refrain from the purchase or use of alcohol or drugs
- Refrain from the possession or purchase of weapons
- Keep your language clean and appropriate
- Conduct yourself so as to follow and respect the team leader and promote cooperation and unity of the team
- Develop a personal mission plan and keep a journal

The activities of the trip will inlude: international travel, walking up and downs hills, and staying in a host home (see the trip leader for details). Other activities may include working with tools, children and teens, or sports. See the Students International handbook or the team leader for more details.
A trip like this requires much planning and preparation and the application process helps make sure we have the best fit possible. Not everyone is able to meet the requirements and criteria; therefore, completion of this form does not guarantee that you will be selected for the Summer 2026 Guatemala Team. It does guarantee that you will be prayerfully considered.
If approved you will need to submit a $100 deposit to secure your spot on the team.
